quote of the day
While fame impedes and constricts, obscurity wraps about a man like a mist; obscurity is dark, ample, and free; obscurity lets the mind take its way unimpeded. Over the obscure man is poured the merciful suffusion of darkness. None knows where he goes or comes. He may seek the truth and speak it; he alone is free; he alone is truthful, he alone is at peace. ~ Virginia Woolf in Orlando
This is my favorite song! Sep 25, 09

The Meteorite song (aka What Is A Shooting Star?) from TMBG new album HERE COMES SCIENCE!

Overall I give it a big thumbs up.

I also like the albums
"No!"
"Here Come the 1 2 3's"
"Here Come the A B C's"

We saw them in concert this week and I loved the Istanbul song - in fact I really want to go there.

We just got the new CD Here Comes Science and my favorite song is the Meteroite song.

I can sing the whole song, and Erik and I can also sing it in rounds sometimes without messing up.

Here are the words so you can sing it too.

A shooting star is not a star, is not a star at all.
A shooting star's a meteor that's headed for a fall.

A a shooting star is not a star, why does it shine so bright?
The friction as it falls through air produces heat and light.

A shooting star or meteor, whatever name you like.
The minute it comes down to earth, it's called a meteorite.
